Here is a very clean vintage 1978 Gibson Les Paul Custom (made in the USA, serial number 7***8***) . This
Vintage Black Beauty "Fretless Wonder" is finished in a classic Ebony
Black over a carved top and mahogany body with a black 3 ply
pick-guard. The neck has a slim '60s profile, low wide "fretless
wonder" style frets & great low action. Also comes with all gold hardware, block mother
of pearl inlays, expensive fret edge binding, Gibson gold tuners, 2
Volume / 2 Tone / 3 way selector switch and gold knobs. The original owner replaced the pickups with USA Seymour Duncan '59er pickups (SH-1n & SH-1b) which sound phenomenal . Plugged into a Marshall this Gibson Les Paul Custom just roars to life. He also added 2 coil tap switches which gives you a variety of tonal possibilities (go from a fat humbucker sound to a thinner strat style sound). The
overall condition is very clean 8.5 on 10. She looks and feels like a RELIC: with light nicks and scratches, light belt rash, some neck wear on the back from 30 years of playing (see photos), and some gold hardware tarnish on the tuners. The original bridge and tailpiece had tarnish on it, so he replaced it with a newer Gibson set. I had a spare older tarnished tailpiece which I've added to give the guitar a more aged consistent look ( and I'm including the newer tailpiece as well). This Gibson Les Paul Custom has great sustain for days & weighs approx. 10 lbs . Also comes with its very clean Gibson black hard-shell case with blue plush lining. Book value on this one is $2400 to $2600 and will
