You are looking at a 2007 Gibson SG/Les Paul Custom Shop 61 Reissue with a Classic White finish, Gold hardware and 3 Classic 57 Pickups! Not your average SG!! This thing is just amazing! Built to perfection in Gibson's Custom Shop, the action is perfect and the sound is huge! This is a real head-turner! If you are not familiar with this model, and you're wondering why it reads "SG/Les Paul" don't worry... I'm going to tell you about it. Back in 1961 Gibson decided to change the singlecut design of the Les Paul, and created this double-cut version. When the person Les Paul caught wind of this change, he did not like it... and so he asked Gibson to remove his name from this 61 version. Gibson continued to make this guitar, but went on to call it the "SG" model. From that point on, Les Pauls were back to the singlecut design... yadda yadda yadda. So there you go. This is a great axe all the way! She's 100% original and... and I just put a fresh new set of 10-46's on her, so she's all dressed up and ready to rock the house down!

She is just about to celebrate her 3rd birthday, and has never been owned! I just picked this up from the original retailer, who only had this guitar on display behind the counter at his store, from the day that he received it from Gibson. This is basically a "new/old stock" scenario. There are no nicks or dings to speak of. Just the usual VOS hazing, as intended by Gibson's VOS treatment... and a small light dis-coloration where the headstock joins the neck, from a guitar hanger. This is not hanger rash... just a mere light stain. Otherwise, the neck is straight with no cracks or repairs... The frets are excellent, with their entire life ahead of them... and the sound is amazing!! Also included is the original Gibson Custom Shop hard shell case (shown in the pictures) and it even includes the case candy, case key, adjustment tool and the Certificate of Authenticity! Whoever wins this auction is going to be completely STOKED!!
