This is a very early 69 Gibson Les Paul Custom with a one piece body and one piece neck. It has the very desirable long neck tenon which is rare and only seen on 68 and very early 69 guitars. The pots date 6850 and the guitar has the very rare kidney bean caps which are only seen in a very few guitars. The guitar is all original and in spectacular shape. It has very little checking and no buckle rash at all. It has a few marks on the neck where the paint has been removed and a few on the top and back. The knobs were switched because I didn't care for the witch hats but they are readily available (I have 2 of the volume knobs in perfect shape; not sure where the tone knobs are). The guitar comes with the original yellow lined case. The binding has yellow to a beautiful color and the gold is in excellent shape on all of the hardware. These long neck tenon customs do not come around often in this condition. This is one of the nicest guitars in my 20 guitar collection. I suggest insuring this item on delivery.
