Beautiful 2000 Les Paul 1957 Goldtop with non-VOS finish in excellent condition. 2000 was one of the last years before Historics went to a rubbery VOS finish, that contains more plastic in the nitro formula which is thicker and affects the tone in my opinion. The keyword for this Les Paul is TONE! This is VERY loud and resonate. This features Gibson PAF pickups which drives this baby into great 70s-80s rock tones, as well as nice vintage blues and 60s rock God tones. You can see beautiful woodgrain patterns in the Honduras mahogany throughout the back. The top carve is splendid, very nice. The fretboard features a very nicely grained rosewood. The neck is more like an R9, nice softer shoulders. It is a perfect Les Paul for collectors and players alike (because of the fast neck and great tone and playability) The neck is straight, the action is low and the original frets are also in excellent condition. No buckle rash on this baby!!
There is minor checking in the base of the headstock where the dealer hung the guitar, and little tarnish on the pickups. Email for any questions...thank you!
