Gibson Les Paul Custom

"This is a 1979 Greco EG800 Les Paul. This is a higher end series. The guitar was built in the fujigen factory in Japan, makers of all the higher end ibanez prestiges, and many other great guitars. If you dont know about Greco's, they are exact copies of Les Paul, down to all the details and wood. So much so that Lawsuits were filed, and they were not, and still are not to sell them in the US today. They truly gave G*bson a scare, especially in the companies golden years of the late 70's and early 80's. 

The Axe is is all Les Paul, and then some. weighs almost 10 pounds, pure solid mahogany body, Rosewood fingerboard, frets still perfect, fret edge bindings, all original parts, except for the pickups. 

The pickups have been swapped out for all Dimarzios. Setup is as follows: 

Neck: Humbucker from Hell 
Middle: Super Distortion 
Bridge: PAF  36th Anniversary 

First off, they are wired in a way that all of the pickups can be used in any combination! That means, 3 of the pots are each wired to one of the pickups individually, and the 4th pot is the tone for all three, so you can have any or all of them on at any time! On top of that, all of them have been wired for push pull performance, in humbucker or single coil, giving you an insane amount of tones from this axe. 

Also, notice that the neck has been stripped. It has, professionally, perfectly done and refinished with a thin Satin coat, making the neck a lot faster playing Les Paul, just like the custom shop Zack Wylde Les Pauls.

As far as the condition, for a 30 year old guitar, I give it a solid 9/10. Its got a couple of very small dings and slight scratches, but then again, show me a 30 year old guitar in better condition. The only issue, which is completely cosmetic, is a tiny drilled hole on the side of the body, right next to the pickguards hole. The best guess on this was someone at a time installed a different pickguard into the guitar. Its hardly there, and if it really bothers you, it can always be filled with wood filler. Its very small, about the size of the hole where the pickguard would go. The guitar comes with the original pickguard and a as good as new professional Les Paul hard shell case in black.

Besides that, the Axe is pure Les Paul tone. (and Strat tones as well!) and as soon as you feel it, you will realize thats exactly what it is. A little research, and you will find that these guys made some guitars that will rival any G*bson, and completely destroy the junk that they put out today. Especially for the high prices. "

My financial situation forces me to sell this baby.
