This is a 2007 Limited Edition (one of 400) Gibson Les Paul Classic Custom. These seem to be pretty sought after. I think the reason is they look good but they have a reputation of being great soundind and great playing Les Pauls. From that perspective this one is no exception. This guitar has been gigged. It has little dings, marks scratches and swirls that come from being played. The previous ( I am second owner) had a pickguard professionally installed. The strap buttons have been replaced and the case is an Epiphone TKL.
I took a number of pictures in different lights. I have watched these Limited Edition Les Pauls in recent months and even beat ones are bringing in a high dollar. I have put in a buy it now price that is an amount I'd be comfortable paying for this guitar. I have however started it at the minimum I'd part with it for. I could list all the specs but I think everyone looking at this probably knows exactly what it is so I'll comment on the guitar itself. It plays great. It is really inspiring. The sound has a real chime to it that I didn't know Les Pauls could have. Every gig someone asks about it or comments on how great the guitar sounds. With an overdrive pedal it's just huge. I use it on songs with Ebow, slide or the Big Classic Rock tunes. I listed it once before and with in 15 minutes I cancelled the listing. Now I'm listing it again. I've been playing drums more and more and need to upgrade my gear so I need to raise some funds.
I'm a Fender man but I got the bug for Gibson after reading some books on the history of the company and the Les Paul in particular. I looked for months and played a lot of Les Pauls and within 30 seconds on this one, I knew.
Again. This guitar is not museum quality. It is not pristine. It has been played but not abused. If your intent was to buy this and store it away, I would recommend something else. If you want to buy a pretty special Les Paul because it sounds and plays great and you are going to play, this is a great choice.
