 Up for your consideration is a 1998 Guinness FLEADH Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Special. This guitar was the Grand Prize in the 1998 Guinness “Capture The Best of Ireland” Sweepstakes. Listed 1998 MSRP was $2500.00 This is 1 of only 25 in existence worldwide. This specific guitar is identified as the very FIRST of the 25 made (Serial Number ending with XXXX8001). It's made of a Mahogany body with the Guinness Harp on the front and the GUINNESS name inlaid in abalone in the ebony fretboard. Chrome hardware & Black “Soap Bar” P-90s. Three position switch, 2 Volume & 2 Tone Control knobs complete it. A similar guitar is on display in a glass case in the Gibson Cafe in Nashville, TN. As a BONUS I’m also including a few extra  “Sweepstakes” related goodies. The entire auction will consist of & include:

This Guitar has never been gigged. It has been used exclusively for promotional advertisement purposes and photo sessions. This guitar has been on display at a number of locations here in New York City, Dublin and Galway since acquiring it. 

There are two small marks in the finish on the lower bout edge of the body made from a horizontal hanger lined with foam padding that stuck to the finish and a small finish pock mark on the rear lower body edge. Noticeable  only through close inspection but, none the less there. There are no pick scuffs on the front nor is there any buckle rash normally found on played instruments.
