This is the Holy Grail. Gibson Les Paul Custom "Black Beauty" with ULTRA-Rare Maple Fretboard option offered only for 2 years and rarely ordered. This guitar is original with three exceptions- 1. Strap buttons (replaced with Strap-Locks- you don't want this heavy monster falling off) 2. Vintage Gold Grover Tuners to match the rest of the gold hardware (they have been with this guitar for about 30 years) 3. New Frets (the fretboard may say "played" but these frets disagree!) Anything sound related is original on this beauty. Gold hardware has natural relicing and patina. Buckle rash in a strange spot on the back, ambering of the creme triple-binding. Straight neck, low action- set up very nicely. Comes with the original leather hardcase in good condition with 4 out of the 5 latches working. Please see the pictures as they don't lie.
