Gibson Les Paul Custom

Up for sale is a 2002 Gibson Les Paul Custom.  This is not one of the new "custom shop" models with the flat frets, it has nice tall original frets (that have no wear, and have not been crowned or filed down) great for players that do alot of string bending.  This guitar intonates as close to perfect as you can get.  I had the nut slots lowered to the perfect height so the notes on the first three frets would not register sharp or flat on a strobe tuner and open chords sound awesome.  Chords on the upper register played along with open strings sound awesome too.   It has a very nice, bright bell like tone.  The action is nice and low, and the neck is straight. And yes, the neck does respond to truss rod adjustments.  Simply put..this guitar is a joy to play.  The reason I'm selling it so cheap is... thanks to fed ex, there has been a head stock repair.  The repair is above the nut so it does not affect the tone at all, and it didn't go all the way through to the front of the head stock so it is not visible from the front of the guitar.  The repair was done with Titebond and clamped for 48 hours, and is now solid, and I mean solid. When I was restringing it, I mistakenly started winding with my electric winder on the A thinking I was on the D, Well the A string snapped and the repair didn't budge, no kidding its that solid. You can see the repair on the back of the head stock but it is very tight and neat.
