Here we have an excellent example of a vintage Gibson '20th Anniversary' Les Paul Custom, complete with the original hard case.
I bought this guitar in the mid-nineties from the Music Ground, Leeds.

Shortly after I got the guitar, it suffered a cracked neck when it fell off a stand. Not a break, but a crack none-the-less. I had it expertly repaired by one of the top guitar techs in Scotland. Cosmetically, it is barely noticeable, and playing-wise it's completely unnoticeable. In fact at the time, the guitar tech said this guitar had the best neck he had ever played, on ANY guitar. He called it perfection. 

Gibson LP Custom necks have a bound Ebony fretboard, with mother-of-pearl block inlays. The inlay on the 15th fret is inscribed with the '20th Anniversary' logo. Coupled with these small-guage 'fretless wonder' frets, you have the slickest, smoothest neck you could ever wish for.

Grovner tuners had been fitted prior to me owning the guitar, but I replaced them with a set of waffle-back  Kluson 'Super' tuners, to bring it back to original spec. I was six screws short re-fitting the Klusons, so six screws are not original.

The pots are dated 1377437, which places it in the 37th week of 1974.

The  ABR1 wired bridge has the correct 'Patent No' stamped below and pickups are also stamped with a patent no. The knobs are gold-capped, black witches hats.

The case has seen a lot of action and is pretty beat up. There is one catch missing, but it's still very secure and functional. Let's just say it's got plenty of character. Please ask for a photo.
