For
auction is a 1971 Gibson Les Paul Custom. A black beauty. It is in
great condition. This guitar has a great vintage look. All
original except for the knobs I think. I believe the 1971 is supposed
to have black witch-hats. I may be wrong though. The neck may have had
a repair at some point. It looks like they did a light repaint of the
back or neck area. It is color matched and they did a great job. You
don't feel it at all when playing. The only reason you notice is
because the serial got filled in a little and made it harder to see.
The tail piece on the front has wear. Most likely from sweat and
resting a hand. Tuners are original wafflebacks. They have some
discoloring from age. A scrubie can bring some of it back. There are 2
small pecks on the front, a small white mark on back (might come off)
and a hairline crack in the binding at the dip in the top of the
headstock above the "S". Everything else looks great. Original pickups!
Comes with original case. Exterior of the case is good/fair condition.
Has some small tears in covering and a few splits in the binding. The
plastic handle has broke on one side. It might be replaceable. All
hinges and latches are good. Interior is near pefect. Also comes with
pickguard that is currently not attached.
