Up for auction is a one owner 2008 Custom Shop Les Paul Standard 1960 Reissue VOS (G0) in a Nitrocellulose Dark Burst finish. Serial number G0 8xxx. Included is a Lifton Reissue Hardshell Case with Gibson COA, adjustment tool and case candy. The appointments on this VOS are: A one-piece mahogany body with a two-piece carved maple top. A one-piece mahogany neck with a hand-selected rosewood fretboard and a long-tenon neck joint. Under the hood you will find custom-wound Gibson BurstBucker pickups with CTS pots and Bumble Bee capacitors. All nickel hardware with a ABR-1/Aluminum stopbar. Vintage Kluson-style tulip double-ring tuners, holly headstock veneer, medium size frets and period-correct binding. The VOS 1960 Reissue profile neck (thin&wide) must be played to be believed. The period correct Nitro Dark Burst finish is absolutely stunning... and the select rosewood fretboard is just drop dead gorgeous (see pic. #7). The (special order) Lifton RI case complements this guitar perfectly. A textured brown exterior, a plush pink interior with a large accessory compartment. Five latches, lock and key make it secure but the style reflects a more accurate late 50's to early 60's Gibson case. The condition of this guitar shows the great care it has received from its original owner. Only minimal handling wear at best! The neck is straight and true with no fret wear and a working truss rod. The nitro finish, binding and nickel hardware have a subtle vintage look... that only the Gibson Custom Shop can do! This Les Paul weighs in at 9lbs. of solid TONE! The Dark Burst Standard VOS articulates every note and sustains like a church organ. Few other guitars can rival its playability, tone and beauty!
